1. Designed to be the quickest in specific conditions. And they really are. However they may be slower and clumsy in other conditions
2. They're like core workout so some people with their sick back sometimes choose to be more confortible when ride and will pick up cycles with more straight sitting possition. They're are confortible usually for people who knows what expect from them and those whom will use their advantages
3. They're often without possibility of fitting mudguards and panier racks
4. The alligment of hip bones in bending forward sport possitions makes narrow saddles more confortible in use
5. They always look modern or classic and professional


Road Bikes
Race Road Bike

Non-Road Bikes
Cyclocross
Visually it's simmilar to Road Bike with his dropped handlebars. But the geometry is that you sit more upright. You've got more control then when you riding technical terrain. It has as well wider tyres with thread. The design of ot is to race on Cyclocross races.

BMX Bikes
They have 20-inch wheels or, sometimes 24-inch-wheels than called "BMX cruisers". Knobby tires, upright handlebars with crossbars that can spin around aloud making varieti of jumps and tricks. Usaually you can see them on skate parks.

Track/Fixed Gear Bikes

Gravel Bike. Racing Style
Agressive road rece bike geometry but with stronger frame and wider tyres. Suitable for asphalt and rough terrain. Usually without front derailleur. Often without mounting for panier racks and mudguards.
 


Mountain Bike Type
Trail
Quite slack head angle makes it capable and stable in descending. Descend faster than XC bike but slower than enduro. Climb faster than enduro but slower than XC. Their geometry sits beetween enduro and XC bike. Designed for having fun on trail tracks rather than
racing.


Cross Country (XC)
Designed to be quick in decending as well as climbing as it is racing bike where people usually doing laps.
Short wheelbase, short reach, short chainstay, steeper seat tube angle, steeper head angle makes the cycle nimble. Shorter forks travels helps to transfer energy from pedals to the wheel.

Enduro
Designed for quick decending. Suspesention up to 160mm allows crossing bigger bumps and smoother jups. Longoer wheelbase and slacker angle makes cycle more stable in higher speeds.

Dirt Jump Mountain Bike
Designed to ride in bike parks. Can be used on: skate parks, dirt jumps, slop style, on the street. Very short chain stay and very short stem allows very good controll and manuvers of the Cycle. It comes 24" wheels (old type) or 26" (new type). Thay are 1 speed hardtails with front suspension. Very strong and very light. It is like oversized BMX.

Slope style
For a big jumps. It has front and rear suspension. Comes with 26" wheels. Very short chain stay and very short stem allows very good controll and manuvers of the Cycle. Half of them has rear gears and half is 1 speed. Very strong and very light.


Down-Hill
Strong frame, strong,fork, big brakes, large suspension travels, very slack geometry allows it race down in rough terrain. Not conforible for longer pedalling and climbing.

Commuters
1. Designed for comfort, ergonomic, pleasure riding
2. Straight back, relaxed core position
3. Usually with mudquards and panier racks or possibility to fit them
4. Wide saddles in common use
5. In my opinion they are beautiful and they write the storys of the people lives

Trekking Bikes
Old cattegory. Today thay may be called: trekking bike, adventure bike, traveller bike.


Hybrid Bikes, Fitness Bikes (called Flat-Bar Road Bikes, Performance Hybrid Bikes)

are similar in many ways, but there are some differences between them.

This allows for a more upright riding position and better visibility. Fitness bikes typically have narrower tires than hybrid bikes, making them faster and more efficient on smooth roads or bike paths.

Both hybrid bikes and fitness bikes are great options for recreational riders and commuters. The choice between the two comes down to your individual riding style and preferences. If you're looking for a more comfortable ride and want the option to take your bike off-road occasionally, a hybrid bike may be the better choice. If you prioritize speed and performance and mainly ride on smooth roads or bike paths, a fitness bike may be a better option.


Dual-Sport Bikes (Mountain Bike Style Hibryd)
More straight back position and wider tyres then fitness bikes. Usually comes with short travel front suspension.

Comfort Hybrid
A very straight up position allows to have wide saddles. Usally very low step thru frame. It comes with wide tyres, moudguards, panier racks. Sometimes they have seat tube suspension, wchich is nice, but sometimes they come with front suspension wchich increases weight and price of the cycle and possibly you need it just in rough terrain so very likely you don't need it in this kind of cycle.

Non-Hybrid Bikes
Gravel Bike. Packing style (called Adventure Bikes, All-Road-Bikes, Any-Road Bikes)
Quite long wheel base makes the the cycle stable. Very good for long jurneys. Comforible. It has stronger frame and wider tyres compering to the road bike but similar look to it. And it has possibility of moumting many panier racks, wather bottles, has wide gear range with rear and front derailleur, moudguards can be fittet. With this specifications makes it good for travels on ansphalt and rough terrain.Became popular in 2019. In 2020 introduced shock absorbers or short travel suspensions on them to increase comfort.

Cruiser Bikes
